Landmarks and History - The Präst Hus

Scandia, MN



in 1850, the town of Scandia became the first Swedish settlement in what is now the state of Minnesota. In 1868, the Präst Hus was built as a parsonage to serve the local Elim Lutheran Church. Today, the Präst Hus sits on the site of the Gammelgården Museum and is the oldest existing parsonage in Minnesota.
