Landmarks and History - The Gammelgården Museum

Scandia, MN

Scandia is the first Swedish settlement in Minnesota, established in 1850. The Gammelgården Museum is a well-preserved 11 acre farm in Scandia where visitors can catch a glimpse of what life was like for these Swedish immigrants. The museum, which seeks to preserve and promote Swedish history in Minnesota, is owned by the nearby Elim Lutheran Church.
